Planting & Cultural Tips
Plant 30cm apart in a full sun (for best colour) to part shade position, in soil that has had well rotted manure or compost added.
Add agricultural lime if soil is acidic.
Needs regular deep watering to promote large, well-formed plants.
Allow potted specimens to dry out a little between watering.
Give a monthly application of fertiliser once plants are established and protect from snails, slugs and caterpillars.
Peak Flowering Time
Not grown for its flowers – pinch out flower buds in spring.
Useful for
A decorative bedding plant and good in pots, window boxes, patios and indoors. Is also excellent for winter flower beds.
