Plant 30 to 35cm apart in a sunny position with moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil and ensure good ventilation to reduce the risk of mildew.

Remove spent flowers promptly to encourage continuous blooming.

Only if soil does not freeze or become waterlogged can tubers be left in the ground for winter.
